People’s Party

The Korean People's political party primarily refers to the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), which is the founding and ruling political party of North Korea. It was established in 1949 through the merger of the Workers' Party of North Korea and…   the Workers' Party of South Korea. The WPK is deeply rooted in the principles of Juche, a political ideology of self-reliance that was introduced by Kim Il-sung, the country's first leader. Juche is often considered a variant of Marxism-Leninism, adapted to the Korean context, emphasizing independence in political, economic, and military affairs.<br /><br />The values and policies of the WPK are centered around the absolute leadership of the party, the promotion of a centralized economy, and the development of a self-reliant defense capability. The party advocates for the unity and solidarity of the Korean people under the leadership of the Kim dynasty, which has led the country since its establishment.
